2. The game is played with a deck of cards and the player and the dealer are dealt two cards each.
3. The value of the cards is as follows: face cards (jack, queen, king) are worth 10, aces are worth 1 or 11, and all other cards are worth their face value.
4. The player can choose to hit, which means they receive another card, or stand, which means they stick with the cards they have.
5. The dealer must hit if their cards total 16 or less, and stand if their cards total 17 or more.
6. If the player’s total is 21 or more, they automatically win, while if the dealer’s total is 21 or more, the player loses.
7. The player wins if their total is closer to 21 than the dealer’s total, and the dealer wins if their total is closer to 21 than the player’s total.
